Hi, I’m Marissa Ricchetti.

I grew up in the Bay Area with an Italian father who taught me to cook and a Sunday morning ritual: Julia Child's The French Chef. That's where it started — the Italian and the French, the home kitchen and later, the professional one, the idea that food is story, place, and connection.

I've worked in professional kitchens and bakeries for over a decade. I write about food, travel, and other forms of longing from Portland, Oregon. The rain, darkness, and extraordinary produce of the Pacific Northwest inform everything I make and everything I write.

This blog is about craft, patience, and travel. About cooking simply, going far, and looking closely at the small things.

Bake well. Wander far.
